Our Transformation

Our Transformation

By Michael Youssef, Ph D.  01/29/22

Throughout God’s Word we discover promise after promise of how He desires to care for us and look after us. God wants the best for our lives and nothing less. However, along life’s journey, our faith might sometimes be shaken. If suddenly everything in our lives begins to take a turn for the worse, we wonder, “Is this really in God’s plan for me?”

If we are walking closely with the Lord and life deals us a blow that knocks us down, that does not mean we need to abandon our faith. In fact, those are the days when we need to turn to Him even more. It does not necessarily mean we are doing something wrong or that God is unhappy with us; rather, we should approach such circumstances as an opportunity for the Lord to do the amazing through our lives for His glory.

God is most interested in transforming us into His likeness. And if we allow Him to do so, He will use every event and circumstance—no matter how difficult or easy—to achieve that transformation in our hearts. Our belief that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He has promised opens the gateway for Him to work through us in incredible ways.

Just as unbelief can cause us to miss out on seeing God work the impossible in our lives, devout faith and belief that He will do as He has promised allows Him to do the impossible. Instead of a destination of disappointment and defeat, our destination is one where God works His changing power in our lives, demonstrating His love and glorifying His name.

Prayer: Lord, help me to remain steadfast in my faith in You today. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).
